CRIMINAL LAW DEPARTMENT
Information Sheet 2

Vickers & Co. Criminal Law Department

Vickers & Co aim to provide quality service for all our clients.

Our criminal law department specialises in criminal defence work, which includes all aspects of representation of clients at police stations and in criminal courts.

The department works as a team. This means that your case may be dealt with person within the department, but it will be under the overall control of the person the letter enclosing this sheet. The department comprises of:

  • Partner in Charge: Stephen Ingall, Senior Partner
  • Solicitor Advocate: Alured Darlington
  • Associate Solicitors: Vincent Mc Grath, Robert Drepaul, Lina Chauhan, David McCorry, Satbinder Chana
  • Legal Assistant: Sabrina McKay
We will guide you through all the procedures involved in your case, go through the evidence with you in detail, and advise you on your best course of action. However, we can only advise you; it will be up to you tow make the final decisions on how you want your case to be dealt with.

We will do everything we can to ensure that your case is well prepared, but to enable us to do this properly you must provide us in good time with your full instructions regarding the matter. We will need to know all about the circumstances surrounding any offences alleged against you, and also full information about your background and personal situation - in particular, details of any cautions or previous convictions you have. It is therefore important that you make and keep appointments with us when necessary, and stay in contact with us throughout the duration of your case. You should let us know of any substantive changes, e.g., if you move or change your telephone number. It would also be helpful if you could co-operate quickly with any requests we make: for example, supplying us with details of any witnesses you may wish to call so that we can contact them and take their statements.

It is also essential that you arrive at court in good time for your hearings. If you do not attend court on the right date or at the allotted time then a warrant will probably be issued for your arrest. If you are unsure of the date or time of any court hearing, you should telephone us to find out.

Should you have any queries at any time, or there is something you do not understand, please do not hesitate to ask.

We hope that you will not have any problems with the service that you obtain from this firm. If you do have any concerns, please address these to our Senior Partner, Stephen Ingall, in the first instance. If he is not able to resolve your query, you should refer the matter to the Senior Partner at our Willesden office, Mr Alec Atchison. If the matter is still not resolved, you can speak to the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors at 8 Dormer Place, Leamington Spa, CV32 5AE, telephone number (01926) 822007.
